Beiersdorf Buys Coppertone

Beiersdorf has entered into a definitive agreement to buy the Coppertone business from Bayer in a $550 million deal. Founded in 1944, Coppertone was the first sun care brand launched in the US market. Headquartered in Whippany, NJ, Coppertone generated sales of $213 million dollars in 2018.  Today, the range is sold in the US, Canada and China.
